Abstract
The study mainly aimed to determine the relative importance of the sub-axes used to measure the level of value orientation, describe its levels for the respondents in the study area, and determine the differences between the levels of value orientation, between the two patterns of value orientation studied (the end and the means) in addition to identifying the nature of the possible correlation between the level of value orientation of the respondents (the pattern of the end and the means), and the variables of the study, and finally identify the most important causes of value imbalances and proposals to solve them from the respondents’ point of view.

The comprehensive was represented in the total number of heads of rural families in the village of Bawiti in Bahariya Oasis, and a random sample of them was selected, the size of the sample reached 276 heads of households, and several statistical methods were used, as percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and frequency distribution tables were used, in order to display and describe data, multiple regression coefficient, and chi-square.
The main findings of the study were as follows:

The results of the study showed that 12.68% of the respondents have a low overall value orientation, while 68.84% of the respondents have a medium overall value orientation score, and finally 18.48% have a high total value orientation.

The results showed that there were no significant differences between the level of value orientation in its two modes (teleological and means,)

There is a correlation between the level of total value orientation of the respondents and each of the following variables, family size, and the degree of family cohesion.
The existence of a significant correlation between the level of total value orientation with regard to variables, marital status, the degree of family cohesion, and the degree of exposure to social media, at the probability level 0.05.
Weakness of religious scruples. (97.83%) was one of the most important reasons leading to value imbalances from the point of view of the respondents, the need to raise children to apply the teachings of religion in all their affairs ranked first by 98.55% of the total suggestions of the respondents in order to overcome the value imbalances.
