FAMILY PRESSURES AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO MARITAL COMPATIBILITY IN THE VILLAGE OF SADAT - BIR AL-ABED

Abstract
The research aims mainly to identify the nature of the relationship between family pressures and marital compatibility in the village of Sadat - Bir al-Abed Center - North Sinai Governorate, and to achieve this main goal, the following sub-objectives were formulated: Describing the nature of the correlative relationships between the studied quantitative independent variables and the dimensions of marital adjustment (emotional, sexual, social, material, religious) separately, describing the nature of the regressive relationships between the studied quantitative independent variables and the dimensions of marital adjustment (emotional, sexual, social, material, religious) separately. The research was conducted on a regular random sample of (600) respondents surveyed in the village of Sadat. Data were collected by personal interview, and several statistical methods were used to analyze the study data. The results indicated the existence of a positive direct correlation relationship between (economic level, average monthly income, informal social participation, ambition, and family pressures) and the degree of the (emotional, sexual, social, material, religious) dimensions of marital compatibility. It was found that there is a correlational morale relationship between (the number of years of education) and the (social - material - religious) degree of marital compatibility, and the relationship was inversely correlative morale between (the age difference between you and your husband) and the degree of (emotional, sexual - religious) dimensions of marital compatibility, while it was found that there is a inverse morale correlation between the variable( number of children from 13 - less than 21 years old )and the degree of marital compatibility in the religious aspect. It came at the forefront of the items of the family stress scale - in which the respondents’ responses were always or rarely - "the disputes of my children with each other caused me great disturbance" (60%). While came at the bottom of these items," I do not find the desire to return home" (26%).
