Prof. of Agricultural Extension, Fac. of Agric., Menoufia Univ.
Abstract
This study aims at identifying the Rejection of the recommendations of wheat and maize in the Menoufia Governorate. A sample of 250 farmers was selected randomly from the four villages in Menoufia Governorate. Questionnaire was used to collect the data from respondents through personal interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically by using simple correlation and step-wise multiple regression. The results indicated that: there were five variables (Agricultural information sources, Trend towards agricultural extension, Full-time agricultural work, Participation in the organizations, Agricultural possession area) explained together 50% the total variance of the degree to which the researchers rejected the technical recommendations for the wheat crop and four variables (Agricultural information sources, Trend towards agricultural extension, Agricultural possession area, Trend towards agricultural innovations) explained together 39% the total variance of the degree to which the researchers rejected the technical recommendations for the maize crop.
